Her chapters weren’t my favorites at the start, but she won me over and, by page 100, I was already as eager to know how her story would unfold and I was Charlie’s. I can’t much speak for the Asperger’s rep, but I’m very familiar with anxiety disorder and it did shape a lot of my experiences. She’s also got social anxiety and Asperger’s, and those are never overlooked factors. Taylor is a girl with a popular tumblr account, a passion for Queen Firestone, the book series that changed her life (we’ve all got one) and a hidden crush on best friend Jamie. Also, her romance is the cutest and her love interest made me swoon. Charlie grows a lot throughout the book, and I was impressed by the way she dealt with certain things and never failed to be assertive when she needed to. I love her excitement over being at SupaCon and how decisive and determined she can be. Charlie is a confident, kind person and her chapters won me over right away. SupaCon is Charlie’s chance to make a splash and get out of Reese’s shadows once and for all, and maybe heal her broken heart along the way.
